Corpus Christi and the Palace

Steve and Ryan plot their revenge on the waves.

Christine gets ready to ride another killer wave.

The killer wave lets loose on Ryan.

Austin has lots of great live music venues, but none of them can compete with a jam session in the palace.

No your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. That is the one and only...Steve Martin! Rock'n out on the drums

One more shot at South Salt Lake

Just when I thought I finally got the bad taste of south salt lake politics out of my mouth I decided to take another swallow. Last week I was contacted by Ethan Millard ("the most feared blogger in Utah" thanks to his blog. He wanted to do a spot on his new radio show about how Bill Anderson accidentally sent me an email saying how I was a whiner that should go back to playing my X-Box. The email was meant for other members of the city council, but he sent a copy to me too. Well I guess it is no wonder that he is having trouble running the city. I don't imagine that too many people in South Salt Lake read this blog, but you may want to send old Bill an email anyways to thank him for raising property taxes 134% in the poorest community in Utah. Send your letters to
banderson@southsaltlakecity.com
In the mean time ya'll should check out Ethan's radio show The Night Side Project it is on every night on KSL.
So I am having difficulty switching my emphasis on Texas politics, I still am a Utahn at heart and I haven't decided where I will be casting my ballot come November. But just an FYI for all of those registered Texans. There is a libertarian running for Govenor. His name is James Werner. So check him out.
But on the Utah front I never thought I would say this but it is time we brought Orin Hatch down. It is nice to have someone with so much clout on our side in Washington, but he has been in way to long and he I think at this point he cares more about his position then he does about Utah. Lets vote for some one who really is going to listen to the voice of the people, and not just where the cash is coming from! If I vote in Utah my vote is going to Pete Ashdown!

Hola Austin!

I have arrived in Austin! But I am carless, and in a way homeless too. Tomorrow I need to find a car, Uncle erin has been nice enough to lend me his car while he was in Phenoix. but he will be back tomorrow so I need to find a car A.S.A.P.
So far Austin has been a little boring since I don't really know many people yet, but I am getting to catch up on all of the episodes of arrested development that I've wanted to watch.

Last Days in Provo

tomorow it all ends, my long stay in provo will come to a close, as I move home for the last month before heading down to austin, Tx.

September 11th?

So there is a possiblity that I will be starting work in Austin a little earlier than anticipated, it would be on september 11! Perhaps that should be the clue to me that I need to stay and wait until January.

CNN is CRAP!

I have been sitting here listening to CNN for about 10 minutes, it has been nothing but crazy opinions by stupid politians. They had one report about how people are upset because congress wasn't going to investigate china labor, because they are hurting the american middle class. They claimed salaries in China vary from 15-50 cents an hour. It is really about 65 cents. They called it a war on the middle class. I keep thinking that americans will relize just living here doesn't make you a better than the rest of the world, it doesn't mean you deserve more money for doing the same work. There is a new book called take that job and ship it. This guy is a moron. I guess he thinks we should become an island. He obviously doesn't have any economic background.

book of the year!

All right a new book just overtook freakonomics for book of the year. It's John Stossel's Myths, Lies, and Downright Stupidity. Well actually I can't really say that it's the best book of the year, and freakonomics might actually be better. But it is a great book and it covers a lot more material then frekonomics does. It would have been nice if it was written by an economist instead of a journalist, but he still does a good job of disposing of several myths. So for any of you that are hanging out in this place I call america, it is a must read!

Nothing but a chillin saturday

Grandpa's funeral

I'm going to really miss Grandpa, but in a way it is really great to know that he and grandma are back together. The highlight was getting to see all of the cousins, and hear what they are all up to. Listening to what they are doing is like hearing the who's who of america achievments.

The Final Fling

There is only two more weeks of school, then it is off to... well I don't really know what I'll be off to, but I am sure what ever it is it should be fun.
