To Pigou or not to Pigou

One of my favorite economist, Greg Mankiw, created a club called the Pigou club. This is a club of people who support a $1 tax increase on a gallon of gas. Several other well known economist have joined (Alan Greenspan), also several well known idiots (Paul Krugman and Al Gore). A few other Economist are starting a no pigou club. One of the economist is Milton Friedman's son. I'm still a little torn on this, but I might find myself siding with Paul Krugman...that is scary.
